The decoration is overwhelming, you can see towers, bastions, arches, hundreds of statues, paintings, mosaics and fountains here. The unique castle is also listed in the Guinness Book of Records to be the largest building of the world built by a single man.

Lake Velence
Lake Velence is the second largest natural lake and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Hungary. Its area is 27 sqm, one-third of which is covered by reeds. The region boasts the largest number of sunshine hours in Hungary. Owing to the 1.5 m average water depth and a large number of sunshine hours, the water temperature reaches 26-28 C in summer. The protected reeds and moors of the lake are home to one of the largest and most colorful waterbird populations in Hungary.
Giant statue of hussar Miska
The new Hungarian tourist attraction is unique in its genre, made of 100 tons of concrete and 13,01 meters high. Caring for hussar traditions, art, and tradition! These thoughts have created the Hungarian composite union of the Miska-Hussar and creating it. The monumental Hussar statue is next to the M7 highway, in Pákozd, so-called Beetle hillock. Where it was said that Jellasic the Croat and Imperial-Royal field marshall had stood in September 1848.
Bence hill lookout tower
The lookout tower completed in Spring 2018 offers an especially beautiful view over the surrounding area, not only Velence Lake, its own immediate environment but Buda Hills, Vértes Mountains and in clear weather even Bakony Mountains too. The hill named after István Bencze, the first successful grape grower of the area, used to have a lookout tower (specifically a transformed oil drilling rig) until 1988. It was demolished after an accident when a tourist fell off and visitors could enjoy the view over the lake only from the hilltop for 30 years. Fortunately, this exceptional gift of nature did not remain unexploited, and following a tender in 2014 a new lookout tower was opened in March 2018. Based upon votes by locals the design by Gábor Kruppa and Tamás Merkel was chosen to be constructed. The tower made of stone and colored concrete has an organic design resembling a wind-blown tree, a cup-shaped flower or perhaps a snake's head. The "Concrete Flower" as the designers called it catches the eye from all around the hill and shows a different shape in every direction. The observation deck at the top of the 20-meter high tower is accessible by 118 stairs. As the closed staircase displaying native wildlife by large photos opens to the windy deck a breathtaking 360-degree view unfolds.
Velence Korzo Beach
The most popular sandy beach of the lake is located in front of the recently built Velence Korzo shopping mall. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided for rent and there are numerous cafes and small restaurants. Free admission
