Drive to Szentendre located near the river Danube 25 km north of Budapest. On the way to Szentendre take a look into Óbuda (Old Buda) a charming neighbourhood of the city noted for the ancient ruins of Aquincum the capital in the Roman times, Romai beach a favourite summer dining spot of the locals with simple and cheap restaurants, cafes and bars and the Sziget Festival, one of the largest music events in Europe. Visit Szentendre a picturesque tiny baroque town remarkable for its colourful old houses, churches, museums, and art galleries. Take a walk through the cobblestone streets and narrow alleys and you will also have time to stroll around the tiny main square flanked by dozens of cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops and try „langos” (fried bread) a favourite meal of the locals. You may also visit one of Szentendre's museums. Szentendre Retro Museum (open from THU-SUN) is an amazing collection of cars, motorcycles, household appliances, toys and furniture used behind the Iron Curtain in the ’70s and ’80s. Szentendre Skanzen Open Air Folk Village (open from TUE-SUN) is the largest open-air museum in Hungary showcasing rural Hungary with traditional thatched roof houses, windmill, animal farm and much more. On the way back to Budapest enjoy a scenic ride on the spectacular Danube riverbanks with stunning views of the Parliament building and other famous landmarks of Budapest.

K bridge- the Sziget Festival entrance
