It's worth a stroll around the tiny main square flanked by cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops and you can also try langos (Hungarian pizza) a favorite meal of the locals. If you have sweet tooth you can taste marzipan cake a local specialty.

Szentendre Skanzen Open Air Folk Village (open from TUE-SUN) located a few kilometres from the town centre is the largest open-air museum in Hungary showcasing rural Hungary with traditional thatched roof houses, a windmill, an animal farm and much more.

Szentendre Retro Museum (open from THU-SUN) is an amazing collection of cars, motorcycles, household appliances, toys and furniture used behind the Iron Curtain in the ’70s and ’80s.
