Welcome to the world of Budapest through the eyes of a scooter enthusiast! My name is Andras Kerekes, and I am not only a professional tour guide but also the CEO-founder of the Original Budapest Scooter Tour. With a passion for travel and exploration, I have been in the tourism industry since my secondary school days, and after completing my college studies, I embarked on a journey to establish my own travel company. But my love for scooters goes way back to my childhood days. I remember having a scooter as a kid, but as I grew older, I shifted to driving cars and almost forgot about the joy of riding a scooter. However, fate had other plans for me. One day, my car was stolen, and I decided to buy a scooter as an alternative mode of transportation. Little did I know that this decision would reignite my passion for scooters and change the course of my career forever. As I started riding around Budapest on my scooter, I realized how incredibly fun and thrilling it was. It allowed me to rediscover my hometown from a whole new vantage point - the wind in my face with unobstructed views, the freedom to zip through the narrow streets and alleys, and the ability to immerse myself in the sights, sounds, and smells of the city like never before. I was hooked, and I knew I had to share this incredible experience with others. That's when I founded the Original Budapest Scooter Tour over 10 years ago. We loved our moped/scooter tour with Andras! Initially I thought it would be nice to rent scooters and cruise around on our own, but there are so many great places to see in Budapest it would have been really hard to navigate them all on our own. We rented a scooter mainly to go to the Formula 1 race at the Hungaroring. As we were there for a weekend, we rented the scooter for a couple of days and we were amazed by the preparation the owner had done for our rental. He had preprogrammed our GPS with the best tours and Points of interest but also had saved our hotel and the Hungaroring as favorites, so we could find our way with no effort. The scooter was decent and we had no issues at all. He provided helmets a lock and everything else we could possibly use and took his time to explain everything. Great experience overall. Thank you!

My husband and I booked the 8-hour Danube Bend tour early in October with Andras. It was the highlight of our week in Budapest! Andras is friendly, knowledgeable and a very interesting man to spend time with. The scooter was well maintained and since it was a colder day than expected Andras helped me find inexpensive gloves to purchase and loaned my husband one of his own pairs. We all got along well and it truly felt like we were riding with a friend eager to show us his favorite places. The included luncheon was delicious and the location was perfect. We're hoping he visits Cleveland, he can ride one of Dave's choppers and see the local sights with us! Thank you for everything Andras, you made Dave's birthday very special.

The owner was so very helpful, knowledgeable and patient. The scooters where in good condition and the app extremely useful. We ve rented scooters/ motorcycles all over Europe and this was a simple pain free experience where nothing is too much trouble. We hired two, 125cc bikes for two days for myself, my wife and my 12 year old as pillion and they made seeing such a wonderful city a breeze. Thankyou so much for a great experience, my wife and I are both bikers of many years and we can highly recommend The Original Budapest Scooter Tour.

Andrew is the most professional and at the same time a fun guy to work with. I rented a 125cc for two days and I highly recommend scootering in Budapest. Park anywhere, beat the traffic, total fun. You will need a motorcycle/scooter license though for 125cc (IDP though he accepted my California) Andrew (;-)) has a neat app with way points and you can mount your mobile totally convenient. Cant recommend this agency enough

Look no further. The best thing we did in the 3 countries we visited. We loved Andras ( owner and guide). He took us all around Budapest. You wear a headset u see your helmet so he can talk to you while you are riding. We covered so much territory that we could never have covered without these scooters. Thrilling riding scooters over the Chain Bridge from Pest into Buda and then going up and around to reach the castle. Gorgeous views. He took us everywhere we wanted. He gave us suggestions about where we should go afterward on our own and he was spot on. We did everything he said and now, we love Budapest. He was humorous and also very informative. Can’t say enough about this tour. Thank you Andras for a memorable time!!!

This is an absolute must! I'd not ridden a scooter in some time and was a little apprehensive about doing so in a busy city. However, this was SO much fun. Our guide was brilliant from start to finish - he was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. It really felt more like a friend was showing you all the best places in their hometown. Add this to your to-do list and you won't regret it.

We traveled to Prague, Munich and Budapest and took a lot of tours and I truly have to say that this was by far the best tour we took. I hadn't been on a scooter in 30 years but it was very easy to pick up again. Never once did we feel unsafe despite the traffic. The scenery and landscape were incredible. Andras is an enigma having traveled all over the world and speaks several languages. We really enjoyed our conversations with him. Lunch was fabulous and the view was amazing. Highly recommend.
